Jon M. Baker, Sr.

Chairman, CEO

Jon M. Baker has nearly 40 years experience in generational wealth transfer planning solutions for both US and International families and their family-owned businesses worldwide. Additionally, Mr. Baker has assisted US multinational corporations in structuring and funding supplemental executive compensation and benefit methodologies for both domestic and international executives. To solve the individual and corporate needs, Mr. Baker has designed innovative trust and corporate solutions, which are frequently

funded by a mix of highly competitive and cost-effective domestic and offshore life insurance products.

In 1978, Mr. Baker established one of the earliest offshore life insurance companies in Bermuda to offer US-compliant life insurance to US residents. Additionally, Mr. Baker’s companies were retained to assist Confederation Life, New York Life Worldwide, Citicorp Insurance Group, Amedex Insurance Company and Fidelity Insurance Company in the formation of their offshore life insurance companies, to include the planning and execution of their market entry, the establishment of a legally compliant solicitation process as well as the creation of significant amounts of competitively priced reinsurance. Mr. Baker facilitated Citicorp International Insurance Company in the acquisition of Confederation Life’s Bermuda Division policies. Mr. Baker, through affiliated business entities, provides the above listed insurers with ongoing underwriting, policy administration, carrier reporting, illustration and administration software utilizing a variable cost structure.

Mr. Baker has established a worldwide sales organization for client consultation, with locations in Boston, Bermuda, Toronto, Dublin, Hong Kong, Singapore, Geneva and Miami.

Mr. Baker has been a speaker at international symposia, including presentations on offshore trusts, employment companies and personal holding companies for emerging corporate and individual planning strategies; as well as funding supplemental executive benefits with U.S. COLI (corporate owned life insurance) and non-U.S. COLI products. Mr. Baker has organized international life insurance symposia on designing systematic executive compensation and benefit methodologies, forming offshore life insurance companies, and creating international life insurance sales and distribution.

A Georgetown University graduate, Mr. Baker is a former member of the Board of Regents and a recipient of Georgetown’s highest honor, the John Carroll Award. Mr. Baker has demonstrated his commitment to education and the performing arts as Chairman of the Leadership Council of the Center for Business and Government at the John F. Kennedy School of Government, Harvard University as a member of the Kennedy School’s Dean’s Council, as a Trustee of Newton Country Day School of the Sacred Heart, The Rivers School, and The Wang Center for the Performing Arts as a founder of The American Foundation for The Royal Academy of Music in London and General Partner of Winston Productions, the production company for The Buddy Holly Story (1978).

Jon Michael Baker, Jr. has over 15 years experience advising and selling high net worth individuals, life insurance based, generational wealth transfer planning solutions. Specializing in international markets and based upon extensive legal and tax research including complex cross-border issues, Mr. Baker designs complex total wealth planning solutions for families and their family-owned businesses worldwide. Frequently, these solutions are funded by a mix of highly competitive and cost-effective

domestic and offshore life insurance products. Additionally, Mr. Baker assists international corporations in structuring and funding executive compensation and benefit methodologies for both their domestic and international executives.

Mr. Baker is responsible for overall management of International Planning Group’s (IPG) worldwide wealth structuring and transfer planning consultant sales force as well as its institutional relationships worldwide. Mr. Baker also oversees IPG’s worldwide market and product development area.

Mr. Baker began his career with Metropolitan Life Insurance Company in the Boston Group Sales office in 1989. As Account Executive, he sold life, health and disability coverage to companies with 500 or more employees, building and managing a substantial book of business.

In 1993, Mr. Baker joined IPG as Account Manager for Individual Markets, responsible for building a captive distribution network of a select number of highly qualified, top producing agents worldwide. Promoted to International Sales Manager in 1994, he was responsible for establishing relationships with major financial institutions and the company’s sub-agents./// In 1998, Mr. Baker became Senior Vice President and began managing IPG’s strategic relationships with worldwide financial institutions and professional advisors.

In 2004 Mr. Baker became President as well as a member of IPG’s Board of Directors, where in he participates in setting the strategic direction of the company and overseeing its implementation.

Mr. Baker has been a featured speaker at many international life insurance symposiums and conferences as an expert on the subject of Wealth Transfer Planning and Business Succession, Offshore Trusts and Employment Companies, and Supplemental Executive Benefit methodologies. Mr. Baker Jr. is also frequently asked to consult with international law firms, insurance carriers, reinsurance providers and financial institutions.

Mr. Baker graduated from Georgetown University School of Business in 1989 with a degree in Marketing.

Steven G. Lamb, CPA

CFO, Treasurer

Mr. Lamb manages all finance, accounting, and administration activities and is the compliance officer for the company.

Mr. Lamb began his career in 1981 at Fox & Company, an international public accounting firm, where as Auditor, he was responsible for performing various auditing and accounting services for manufacturing

clients. In 1983, he began work at Tofias PC, performing accounting, audit, tax and consulting services for clients in the service industry; Mr. Bakers company, The Baker Companies, was one of his primary clients. In 1993, Mr. Lamb joined IPG as Vice President of Finance and has since been promoted to Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer.

Throughout Mr. Lamb's tenure with IPG he has been responsible for all administrative and financial functions. As Compliance Officer, Mr. Lamb manages the company's internal risk management and is responsible for ensuring that the company adheres to all applicable laws and regulations. As a member of the company's Board of Directors, Mr. Lamb participates in setting the strategic direction of the company.

Mr. Lamb graduated from Bentley College in 1981 with a Bachelor of Science in Accountancy and received a Masters of Business Administration from Bentley College in 1989.

James M. Kelso

CEO - Asia

Mr. Kelso is responsible for developing institutional relationships, managing the company's consultants, regional marketing and general oversight of the Asia operations.

Prior to joining the company, Mr. Kelso was the Chief Executive Officer of Boom Securities (H.K.) Limited, the first company to launch Internet stock trading in the Asia/Pacific region.

Mr. Kelso was employed by Prudential Securities for 21 years in a variety of roles; most recently, he was the company's Director of the Asian Pacific region, based in Singapore.

Mr. Kelso is a former Certified Public Accountant and received an undergraduate degree from Colgate University, where he majored in History, and a Masters of Business Administration from New York University.

Diego Polenghi

Managing Director - Latin America

Mr. Polenghi joined IPG as the Managing Director of Latin America in January of 2012 after more than 20 years of private banking and wealth management experience. Mr. Polenghi is responsible for developing IPG’s institutional relationships, managing its planning consultants, regional marketing and general oversight of the Latin America operations.

Prior to joining IPG, Mr. Polenghi held positions within the private banking world including Head of Sales, Private Banking Americas for Standard Charter Bank in Miami.

Mr. Polenghi began his career at Credit Suisse as an investment advisor and later a private banking associate in Switzerland, California and New York. He later joined their senior management team as the Head of Private Banking, Latin America. He also worked for Banque Privee BCP (Suisse) S.A. in Geneva and UBS and Beta Capital Management in Miami.


 Mr. Polenghi is a graduate of the University of Applied Sciences in Business Administration Zurich (HWZ) where he earned his Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration and Economics.

David Pare

Senior Vice President - Markets & Products

Mr. Pare is responsible for strengthening IPG’s current and future market position by proactively organizing the company’s resources and activities to identify and penetrate attractive markets, determine client needs and ensure the company’s ability to offer suitable products and services to satisfy these needs.

In this capacity, Mr. Pare’s department is responsible for: researching, evaluating and training on all subjects related to markets and planning concepts, including local tax environments, life insurance legal definitions and taxation, local competitive environments and local political, economic and social landscapes. Mr. Pare oversees the development and maintenance of IPG’s extensive marketing library, including the marketing materials necessary to assist consultants and staff efficiently market to their clients and the IPG’s referral partners. Additionally, Mr. Pare’s department is responsible for providing producers with sales support, including case specific product and plan design consultation; and maintaining, evaluating and developing the company’s life insurance product portfolio, including areas related to carrier strength and attractiveness, pricing competitiveness, contract design and product development.

Mr. Pare joined IPG in 2001 as a Product Analyst working with the company’s field consultants to aid them in the design and development of product and structuring solutions to meet clients’ life insurance based planning needs.

Prior to joining the company, Mr. Pare was a Financial Advisor at UBS where he provided personalized planning advice; equity, debt and derivative investment strategy consultation and lending solutions to aid clients in meeting their wealth management objectives.

Mr. Pare is a graduate of the University of Massachusetts at Amherst.
